The Salkantay mountain, according to some authors, the name of this mountain is a combination that comes from Salqa = wild and Antay = produces avalanches. In an approximate time of 3 hours we will arrive at Soraypampa (3900 masl) where we will arrive at approximately 1:30 pm we will rest with a view of the mountains with their glaciers, here we will enjoy our first lunch and then we will go to the beautiful Humantay Lake in an ascent for 1:30 minutes where we will reach a height of (4220 masl) where we can appreciate the turquoise color of the lake and the snowy Apu Humantay and then begin to descend for 40 minutes to our Soraypampa camp for tea time which is approximately at 18:00 p.m. and then we will have our delicious dinner prepared by our chef, finally we will go to our tents or tents to sleep and enjoy the impressive views that this beautiful place offers at night with the sky completely covered with stars.
