Join us on this adventure to the Wonder of the World Machu Picchu, on a walk that begins in the city of Cusco through towns such as Ollantaytambo, Santa Maria, Santa Teresa and Hidroelectrica, then start a 2-hour walk along a flat road surrounded by vegetation and tropical fruits to the city of Aguas Calientes for the next morning to enjoy a guided tour in the Citadel of Machu Picchu.
The pick-up will be from your hostel, the tour will begin with a pleasant travel , to Ollantaytambo, where we will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the area, we will take a short break of 30 minutes to eat something or go to the bathroom (approx). From there, we climbed a long road to the "Abra de Málaga", which is located at an altitude of 4316 m.a.s.l. From that point we will see some of the most impressive landscapes of the route.
After a brief stop, we will begin the descent into the jungle, passing through the different ecosystems that combine the landscapes of the majestic snowy peaks with the warm entrance of the rainforest. In Santa María we will have a moment to rest, then take the earth road in order to continue towards Santa Teresa, which is located at an altitude of 1575 meters above sea level, where a delicious lunch will be waiting for us at 13 : 00 hours.
Afterwards, around 1:45 p.m., we will return to the route towards the train station of the nearby hydroelectric power station. From where you have to walk 12 kilometers (3 hours of walking) arriving at Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town) we will take you to the designated hostels.
At 8 pm it will be time to enjoy a good dinner together with our professional guide who will take you to Machu Picchu the next day. (You will have the opportunity to review the plan for the next day and ask questions and answers about Machu Picchu. Overnight)
* Optional: You can visit the hot springs of Aguas Calientes (not included in the tour)
To visit Machupicchu we have different times , it can be at 6 -7-8-9, it is better to start as early as possible, for this you can book the in advanced time to not have any problems.
You will have two options to go to Machu Picchu:
By bus (30 minutes, not included), the cost is US $ 24.00 round trip.
Walking (2 hours).
Breakfast is served from 04:00 am approximately. The guided tour of the site will begin at the time agreed with the guide the previous night and will last at least 2 hours.
After the tour you can start the return, from Machupicchu to hidroelectrica, you can walk for 3 hours or take the train back to Hidroeléctrica from Aguas Calientes that normally leaves at 1:30 in the afternoon (not included).
Upon arrival at the hidroelectrica, our minivan will be waiting for you, remember that the minivan has a waiting time limit until 3:00 pm, if you do not arrive at that time unfortunately you will have to pay for your return transport with another company. Throughout the return trip we will have breaks to get some food or use the bathroom. We will arrive in Cusco around 22:00 hours (approx).
