Fall in love with the Inca culture in this 2-day tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the Inca city of Machu Picchu, on the first day we will have an excursion to the archaeological site of Pisac and Ollantaytambo and on the second day we will visit one of the wonders of the World “Machu Picchu”. The Sacred Valley tour begins with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco. We then head to the town of Chinchero, where the remains of the royal estate of Túpac Inca Yupanqui are located. You will see its well-preserved Inca wall in the main square and visit the beautiful colonial church with interesting frescoes in the portico, built on the foundations of an Inca structure.
Next, we travel to the circular terraces of Moray, known for its famous agricultural experimentation.
Very close to this site is another tourist attraction called the Maras salt mines, a place of salt extraction during Inca times. Here, we will have the opportunity to learn more about this process.
Afterward, we return to the city of Cusco. We hope you enjoyed the tour.
This day will be unforgettable because we will visit the Inca city of Machu Picchu for which we will wake up early to have our breakfast and then we will go to the bus station that will take us to the entrance to the Inca city. We will continue with a guided tour of 2 1/2 hours for each of the important places that the citadel has. After the guided tour you will have free time to explore the archaeological complex. At the end of the visit, we will return to Aguas Calientes to go to the station and board the tourist train back to Ollantaytambo, where our tourist minivan will be waiting for us to take us back to the city of Cusco.
