Itinerary

DAY 1: CUSCO - LARES - WACAWASI

From very early in the morning we will pick you up from your hotel in our transport to travel through the Sacred Valley to the province of Calca and from here we take two and a half hours to reach the district of Lares, a special place to enjoy the hot springs , while our chef prepares our breakfast, after that we will begin our walk along a route full of houses, fields and local people working, in an estimated time of 4 hours to the place called Wacawasi to have lunch rest and visit the waterfall located a few kilometers from the village, that way ends the first day of adventure with a hot dinner.

Distance: 10 km
Mild weather.
Meals: Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner.
Accommodation: Camping.
Minimum altitude: 3100 masl Lares Village.
Maximum altitude: 4580 masl . Lares Pass.
Time: 4 hours (approximately).

DAY 2: WACAWASI - IPSAYCOCHA LAKE- PATACANCHA.

Today will be a long day, after breakfast we will continue with the trek to the highest area of ​​the valley and see how the children of the place wear their traditional clothes to go to school. Here we will observe the great skills and brilliant techniques that are used in the manufacture of ponchos and clothing. Passing the town we will begin the ascent to Ipsaycocha, which is 4350 meters above sea level. , at this point we will have an impressive view of the Veronica snow peak that is 5750 m.a.s.l. We will descend gently for an average of one hour, arriving at the beautiful lake of Ipsaycocha, where we will have our lunch. Then we will continue our hike through the mountains full of herds of llamas and alpacas, finally we will arrive at the village of Patacancha.

DAY 3: PATACANCHA - PUMAMARCA– OLLANTAYTAMBO - AGUAS CALIENTES.

Early after our breakfast we will descend through the valley until we reach the road to take our transport on a 1-hour trip to the ancient Inca city of Pumamarca and visit it, then enjoy an outdoor lunch. In this section, our walk takes us along a route where we will cross over 600 Inca terraces. The next point is Ollantaytambo located in a fertile valley with rivers and covered by immense mountains, this ancient Inca town is considered one of the most important living museums in the world. It is the perfect place to appreciate the vast archeological remains and the city with its streets and friendly people. In the evening at 6 o'clock we will have our dinner and then walk 15 minutes to the station to take your train from Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night in a hotel reserved by our company.

DAY 4: AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHU PICCHU - OLLANTAYTAMBO - CUSCO

Today will be a special day, to visit Machu Picchu we have several entry shifts; They can be at 6-7-8- or 9 in the morning, depending on the date of the advance payment of the tour we can book the entrance as early as possible.
Depending on the time of the entrance ticket to Machu Picchu we will get up to have breakfast.
To go to Machupicchu from Aguas Calientes, we have two alternatives:

1.- Go by Bus (24 US dollars round trip, not included)
2.- Go walking, in approximately 2 hours.

Already at the entrance of Machu Picchu our guide will be waiting for you to start the tour in the archeological zone, where we can visit the different places the temple of the sun, sundial, house of the Inca, etc.
If you have a visit to one of the available mountains “Huaynapicchu or Machupicchu”(not included), depending on the start time (first time 7 AM - 8 AM and second time from 10 AM - 11 AM), our guide will organize everything, you just have to Relax and enjoy the tour.
Once the tour is finished they can return walking or by bus to the town of Aguas calientes, But they must know that sometimes the line to board the bus is so long that it can take an hour or more, between 12:00 to 13.00 in the afternoon .
Already in Aguas Calientes, after our lunch, we will pick up our luggage from the hotel to board the return train until we reach Ollantaytambo, that is where our mobility will be waiting for you to return to the city of Cusco.
