The economic tour to Machu Picchu begins with the pick up at your hotel, then we will go to the sacred valley, after traveling by bus for about 3 hours we will arrive in Ollantaytambo, where we will have the opportunity to enjoy a short break of about 30 minutes and we will be able to appreciate the beautiful landscape of the area. Then we continue with the trip on the way to the Abra de Málaga at 4,316 meters of altitude, in this place, we will see the most impressive landscapes of the heights of the Andes. After a shortstop, we will begin to descend towards the dense jungle, passing through different microclimates, these magnificent climates merge the paradisiacal landscape of majestic snow-capped peaks with the warm entrance of the tropical jungle. In Santa María we will have a short break, and then take a path to continue towards the town of Santa Teresa at an altitude of 1575 meters, where a delicious lunch will be waiting for us.
After tasting lunch and taking a short rest, we will restart the tour in the direction of the train station of the hydroelectric power station. From here we will have to make a 12-kilometer walk (3 hours of walking) to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town), where a rest awaits us at our hotel. The tour to Machu Picchu begins with breakfast at the hotel, then we will go to the bus station where we will board the bus that will take us to the entrance of the archaeological site of Machu Picchu. The guided tour at the site will begin at the time agreed by the guide the night before and will last at least 2 hours. After the guided tour, we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes and then we will go to the hydroelectric plant, where we will hike for 3 hours or take the train from Aguascalientes back to Hidroelectrica After arriving at the hydroelectric plant, our tourism staff will be waiting for you Remember that the waiting time for the minivan is until 3:00 pm. During the entire return trip, we will have some lunch breaks. We will arrive in Cusco at approximately 10:00 at night.
